Communicating vessels
By Michel Dizel
Two cultures, two generations,
simply two human beings
Two minds and two wills
In their respective missions:
To teach and to learn ceaselessly
Communicating in perfect harmony.
While she explains softly and kindly
He listens with attention and dignity
Thanks to you, generous transmitter
Honor to you, ambitious learner!
Teacher, you are more than a knowledge broker
Your passion is inspiring
Student, you are more than a learner
And your curious mind searches for a pathway, enlightening
If he is the main actor of his self-enriched destiny
She guides him with her full humanity
How selfless you are, noble spirit!
Offering your time and your bliss
How blessed are migrants
With your kindness, always patient!
Happy are communicating vessels
On their learning and teaching journey!

My Personal Background
After travelling around the world for many years, in 2002, I went back to France to start a kind of sedentary life in order to build something constructive after a nomadic lifestyle. After succeeding a diploma in languages, I trained myself in the cooking business, worked as a cook and chef for almost 10 years and quitted to become a language teacher.
Here I am, working for a language center in Paris and at the same time doing volunteer work for an association (FISPE) which provides French speaking courses for migrants and refugees and also helps them for their professional and social integration. At the same time, I dedicate myself to artistic hobbies: playing guitar and composing songs and poems.
Life is worth living if we give some meaningful purpose in our short existence. As a traveler, I can say without any doubt that life is a journey that brings you sorrows and joys but above all that teaches you lessons in order to evolve and become wiser.
